As we continue to expand the MUD, both in coding and building, we've realized that the world of Project BoB needs a name. The MUD itself will still be known as Project BoB, but we feel that the world itself needs a name. So, we're going to have an open call to everyone to give us suggestions as to what the world will be named.
First off, please don't post them in notes as we expect (hope) that there will be a multitude of suggestions. Instead, please post all suggestions in this thread
After a while, we'll post a note here and in the forum letting everyone know that we'll be closing the suggestions soon. After that, we'll pick the ones that seem to fit the best and we'll have a poll for people to vote on their favorite name. We may or may not use any of the names but will give Unique Gem prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place names picked in the poll.
Here are a few rules on picking names:
1. Be tasteful, nothing obcene or derogatory.
2. Be original, Earth, Alpha Centauri, Kronos, Chulak, Arrakis, Z'ha'dum, Sebacea, Omicron Persei 8, Gallifrey and Dagobah are not acceptable names. If you use a name that is from a book, movie or TV show, someone will know it.
3. Try to come up with a name that has a fantasy 'feel' to it.
Other than that, any names you can come up with are great and we look forward to reading them.
